Potty Training.... It's time to buckle downO

Tori is still refusing to go # 2 in the potty. I have decided it is time to really take action. I am going to Toys-R-Us to purchase her new favorite Backyardigan movie, The Robot Repairman. Then I am going to sit it up on top of the refrigerator, where she can see it, until she has 5 days with no accidents.(Happy faces on her chart) Once she gets 5 happy faces she will get her new movie.

We are sitting on the potty for 10 minutes, 3 x's a day, until we have success...

She's no very happy with me, but we are trying to make this a fun experiance... 

She has to sit until the timer "dings!"

This was our first try with the timer... I sure hope this works!!

1 step forward 2 steps back...

So Tori has been doing great potty training... Until about 4 days ago... She has decided she is not going to go # 2 in the potty... Now what!?!?!? She goes into a corner and hides to do her business in her panties.... Mommy is frustrated, but we are going to get this!! Just a few backwards steps...

Potty Training update

Potty training has been going so well I almost forgot to write about it!! Tori is wearing big girl pants almost all the time, and though we still have some accidents, she is staying dry 80% of the time!!!! I am so proud of her!! We have even made quite a few outings in big girl pants and have not had an accident out of the house yet!! It's only at home when she gets to playing and forgets until almost too late... But she usually makes it with only a little accident. She is so independent, and we no longer have to give rewards, it's becoming a way of life!! Still in diapers at night, but that's to be expected, we are working on staying dry at naptime first, then we will work on all night :) My baby is OFFICIALLY a big girl!! So bittersweet! :(

Ice Cream reward!!

Tori was doing so well with Potty training that Adam and I decided to take her for ice cream as a reward!! She was so excited and precious!! She's so proud of herself!!

First day with no accidents!!!

Today has been a great day for Miss Tori!! She has stayed dry all day long!! She has been telling us all day when she needs to go, and one time she even went to the potty, emptied it into the big toilet and I found her in the bathroom washing her hands after the fact!! Little Miss Independent haha! I have to say Adam has been a huge help today! He has been super involved and I think that was part of why she stayed dry!! Having daddy involved motivated and excited Tori to do good. I'm so proud of my little munchkin today!!! Hoping tomorrow will be even more successful!!

13 stickers today!! We almost ran out of room!! Maybe I need to try and find some even smaller stickers!! She's such a big girl :)

Our Potty is here!!

Our potty arrived early this morning!! Tori was so excited to open up the box and throw all the packaging and papers everywhere till she finally got to her blue potty! She was so cute!

Ice cream, M&Ms, and lots and lots of patience... We will get this!!

Potty training has gone great most of today! Only 2 accidents and everything else has gone in the potty! Tori made me so sad tonight though, because she sat on the potty and cried, "I not yike to go potty Mommy, I put on my dipa and be a baby now." Hmm... Should I be discouraged?? Or is this just part of the process...

Potty Training.... Step Two

We are patiently awaiting our potty. Tori told me today(and yesterday), "Mommy, my potty come i-i-inn da mail... I-I-I-In a box! but, but it's a blue one mommy, a blue potty!!" so cute! Can you tell I'm loving the stutter? Her brain is working too fast for her mouth, and she just can't get it out! lol anyways back to the matter at hand. So the past 3 days we have been beginning the process of potty training, and today was our first day to wear big girl panties! She did have an accident in them, but I'm so proud of her!!! We sat on the big potty, I gave her some juice, and read "Once upon a potty" at least 4 times today. I will post a picture of her sticker chart later this week!! When it has more stickers on it :).... I'm determined this time, and so is she!! She'll be a big girl in no time!

Potty Training.... Step One

Ok guys I have to admit I have been procrastinating a little bit on this potty training thing, but I am at least heading in the right direction! Today I ordered Tori a potty (blue of course and she is so excited to get it! She said "Mommy my potty come in da mail, so so I can get it and go tinkle and poopy in it!" haha... Step One: buy a potty... CHECK!!
